Our fundraising efforts benefit all Centerville band programs and with a goal of keeping out-of-pocket costs more affordable for our students. A large portion of our annual budget comes from conducting fundraisers and hosting events; below is an outline of these fundraisers and we invite you to join our volunteer efforts!
Calendar Ad/Sponsorship Sale – The band calendar contains ads from local businesses, merchant coupons, and school information dates. Ad sales start in February and continue into the spring, with calendars printed and distributed in late summer. For more information contact Marcus Bailey at fundraisingcbb@centervilleband.org.
Centerville Invitational (October) – We proudly host our own high school band competition in the fall. This is our largest event fundraiser of the year and an ALL HANDs volunteer event!
Spirit Wear (Fall) – Spirit wear is a fun way to support the band! Not only does it show your CJB pride but also a portion of all sales go back to the band. Spirit wear is available for order or sale at various times & events throughout the year.
Poinsettia Sale (Late Fall) – We work with a great grower to provide quality poinsettias to friends and family while raising funds for the program at the same time. Details for this sale are sent in late fall.
Basketball Concessions (Nov-Feb) – The Band Boosters are proud to provide Basketball Concessions at men's and women's home basketball games at CHS. There are approx. 20 games in total which require 6-8 volunteers per event so we ask all parents to try to help with at least one game per season.
Centerville MEPA (March) – Indoor Winter Guard and Winter Percussion competition hosted by CHS. Another fun, busy day that we need lots of volunteer help with.
Jazz Cakes (March) – Middle and High School Jazz Bands and Jazz Ensembles perform at CHS while attendees enjoy a pancake buffet.
Spring Flower Sale (Mar-May) – Our spring flower sale is one of our most successful fundraisers. Flower sales occur online in March/April and arrive for distribution in early May.
Kroger Community Rewards – Visit https://www.kroger.com/i/community/community-rewards and make sure the Centerville Band Boosters (CR033) is assigned as your nonprofit organization of choice.

RaiseRight is an app that allows you to buy gift cards that are easily stored on your smart phone while earning rebates for each purchase. There are hundreds of popular retailers participating, many of which you likely visit on a regular basis- so you will be earning rebates on money you are already spending! Your rebates are held in an account within the band program and accrue until the next season begins, then they are applied to your family’s band fees. 100% of the rebate goes into your individual account – this is not a fundraiser for the overall band program. To get started fundraising for your child, contact the CBB Incoming Funds Treasurer to get the most recent enrollment code at cbbtreasurer@centervilleband.org. Thank you for helping support the Band programs!
