Congratulations on a great season to both the World and A Winter Guard Units. Thank you for your long hours, teamwork and caring as you strove to be the best you can be. You have represented yourselves, your families, your school and teachers well! You are truly Centerville's finest!

World Winter Guard

Show Title: "Vocalyze"

This season, the Scholastic World Winter Guard will present a show based off the voice.  The soundtrack features famous a cappella artists such as The Swingle Singers, Bobby McFerrin, GLAD and much, much more!  With no instrumentation and no actual lyrics, the show pulls from the amazing sounds that can be created by the human mouth. By playing off the idea of sound waves in both costuming and floor design we will create a visual interpretation of the varied styles within the soundtrack.  A very different style for the Centerville color guard - this show is sure to turn some heads.  Don't miss us at the Mid-East Regional, the Mid-West Power Regional, and World Championships here in Dayton, OH where we will once again be competing in the Scholastic World Division!

in Second Year of Competition

Show Title:  "The Gypsy Danse"
Music: "Harem" and "Arabian Nights" by Sarah Brightman

Wearing red and performing on a purple and gold floor, the "A" guard will take an exotic flavor this season by using the ethnic sounds of Sarah Brightman in a show titled "The Gypsy Danse."  This talented group of 16 young ladies will compete in the Scholastic "A" class in the Mid-East Performing Association.  Look for them at several local shows - they are sure to be a real treat!
