Trip Fees:

Invoices outlining what is owed for the San Diego trip will be handed out at practice the week of March 15. Fees are due by 7:00 pm Wednesday, March 24. Any invoices not paid in full by this time will be forwarded to Wayne. Failure to pay fees in a timely manner could result in the student being declared not eligible to participate.

Travel Rules:

a. Photo IDs. A government issued photo ID (i.e. driver�s license or valid passport) is required for those traveling that are 18-years of age or older at the time of travel. A student ID is not acceptable. There are no exceptions and anyone failing to produce required identification could be sent home and could forfeit their fee.

b. Luggage. Check the weather for San Diego and pack accordingly. Pack light. Your child will be required to handle their own luggage. Only one carry-on and one checked bag will be permitted. The carryon must comply with airline regulations. The checked bag must do the same and must weigh less than 45 lbs. If a checked bag exceeds that limit, the student will have to either pay a substantial penalty at that time or remove contents of the bag. America West�s policy on this matter can be found at;

Medication:

a. Jeannie Ponziani is an RN and will be accompanying the group on this trip.

b. Medications will be handled the same way as for other lengthy band trips. Jeannie already has medical forms from the fall on each of the students. If your child is on different medication, she will need updated medication form (can be found here - Necessary Forms). Jeannie will be collecting all medications prior to the trip and will also have over the counter medications and first aid supplies with her.

c. Feel free to call Jeannie prior to the trip at me if any you have any questions at 433-7786.

Food:

a. Only a limited amount of food (snacks, primarily) will be transported to San Diego.

b. Your student will be given on $5.00 per meal to buy food. It is your responsibility to give your student additional money if that is not sufficient.

d. Emergency Calls Home. You will be asked to provide the chaperones with an emergency contact number for your student. Make sure they know how to reach you in case of an emergency.
