Centerville 2005 World Winter Guard Show:

December 7, 2004 - This season, the CHS Scholastic World Winter Guard will present "Vocalize," a show based off the voice.  The soundtrack features famous a cappella artists such as The Swingle Singers, Bobby McFerrin, GLAD and much, much more!  With no instrumentation and no actual lyrics, the show pulls from the amazing sounds that can be created by the human mouth. By playing off the idea of sound waves in both costuming and floor design we will create a visual interpretation of the varied styles within the soundtrack.  A very different style for the Centerville color guard - this show is sure to turn some heads.  Don't miss us at the Mid-East Regional, the Mid-West Power Regional, and World Championships here in Dayton, OH where we will once again be competing in the Scholastic World Division!

November 6, 2004 - The Centerville Jazz Band completed the 2004 season in Indianapolis, Indiana as a Grand Champion Finalist, achieving 5th place out of 91 bands nationally with a score of 93.4.

Avon Winter Drumline Congratulates World Champs!

May 4, 2004 - Members of the Winter World Drumline recently got a visit from two representatives of the Avon HS Winter World Drumline! Avon members Kimi Badger and Amanda Balz drove from Indiana with a cake they'd baked to congratulate CHS on their WGI World Championship! Displaying great sportsmanship AND friendship, the girls stayed to share cake and a friendly game of cards with several CHS drumline members. Thank you Kimi and Amanda!

Congratulations to the 2004 Centerville World Winter Guard in placing 12th in finals competition in their first year at Scholastic World Level! 

Preliminary Results of WGI World Championships, San Diego, CA

April 17, 2004 - Centerville Winter Percussion has scored FIRST in WGI World preliminary contest in San Diego with a score of 94.15 on Friday, April 16^th .

The Centerville Winter Guard has placed 13^th in their preliminary competition with a score of 85.65.

Countdown!

The 2004 Centerville Jazz Band competition show will be titled Countdown! with an  original musical composition by Andrew Markworth. The show will be a musical and visual exploration of 5 ­ 4 ­ 3 ­ 2 ­ 1.  The musical style will continue the CJBąs recent venture into blending symphonic modernism with jazz and pop idioms.
