The Centerville Jazz Band traveled to Mason to participate in the Bands of America Regional Championship.
In the preliminary competition, The Centerville Jazz competed against 15 other teams and was awarded 1st place in their class, and awards for Outstanding Music Performance, Outstanding Visual Performance, and Outstanding General Effect.
The Centerville Jazz advanced to the Finals round where they competed against the top 10 Bands from prelims. In finals competition, Centerville received awards for Outstanding General Effect, and tied for Outstanding Music Performance and Outstanding Visual Effect.
Centerville was named BOA Regional Champion as they were awarded the highest score of all bands of the competition with a score of 79.00.
This is Centerville's 18th Regional Championship in their history.
Fourteen Bands of America Regional Championships are being held this fall across the nation. Bands of America Championships are recognized as the premiere high school marching band events in the United States.
