Centerville Jazz Senior Celebration – February 9, 2005 

Your COUNTDOWN has begun!

So, what exactly happens when you get to the end of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1  ?

Is it a PROGRESSION to places far and wide?  But all of you are already well traveled to places like Nashville, Chicago, San Diego, and Orlando!

Maybe it means leaving for college, or a career!  Of course that would mean you would no longer be around the house, and hence your parents will begin A SILENT ERA, where there is no more BOLERO’S, or MINUANO IN 6/8 !

Whatever your future brings, we’re sure you’ll put things IN PERSPECTIVE.  The organized among you will go about your life in a SEQUENCE of events, while others may VOCALYZE your intentions, doing A GYPSY DANCE, no less ON THE 50.

As you proceed down your path of life, you will sometimes encounter TOXIC DAZE.  There may be times you will feel like you are living in A GLASS HOUSE under everyone’s scrutiny.

As you tell yourself, THAT’S A STRETCH, on the goals you have set, know that you have learned perseverance and dedication, and have the talent to think OUTSIDE THE BOX!

The artists you have encountered over the past 4 years, that included Ray Vega, Steve Wilson, Maynard Ferguson, and the very talented staff and directors at Centerville, have all given you PATTERNS IN JAZZ, to live by.

As you look around this room, you will see classmates, band mates, friends, and teachers who will continue to support you in anything you do, and we guarantee that you have, and will, MAKE SOMEONE HAPPY!

Congratulations to the class of 2005!
