The Centerville Jazz Band is the marching band from Centerville High School, Centerville, Ohio. Since 1984 the band has performed big band jazz in traditional and contemporary forms. The Centerville Jazz Band has been called "the world's biggest big band".

For the 2002 competition season, the Centerville Jazz Band presented "Patterns in Jazz" which uses the simple elegance of common shapes to accentuate the unique motives of four diverse musical styles. Musical selections include Fanfare for the New by Hugo Montenegro, Interlude by Andrew Markworth, Prelude, Fugue and Riffs by Leonard Bernstein.

The 2002 Drum Majors were Caitlin Arnone, Laura Ball, and Craig Schwable. The Band Director is Wayne Markworth with Assistant Directors Jodi Fairbanks, Tim Fairbanks, and Mike Voytek.

2002 BOA Competition Results:

In 2002 the Centerville Jazz Band received 33 awards and trophies. The band was Grand Champion at Bands of America Regionals at both the University of Toledo and Massilon, Ohio. They also were Grand Champions at the Brookville High School competition.
