***BREAKING NEWS*** The Bands of America Regional on September 20th has been moved from Oxford to Centerville. Bands of America has been actively researching new sites due to the limited number of bands that are registered. Centerville is proud to host this Regional Championship, and promises to run a show that maintains the high standard of Bands of America events. The Centerville Jazz Band will continue to perform as a competing band in this contest, and the event will be run in the same manner as any other Regional. We will need several parent volunteers to help direct parking and sell concessions. More details will be announced soon! Football Fooding For each home football game, we serve cookies/snacks to both bands after the halftime show. The students listed below are responsible for providing 2 dozen cookies, rice crispy treats, or some other snack in a disposable container for this week's football game. Salty works as well as sweet. We have a couple of peanut allergies, if you find something peanut free that would be great, if those with allergies would like to bring something directly to us that would be fine too. Mike and Joan Cordonnier will collect items at the end of practice on Thursdays if you would like to bring them at that time or will be in the band hallway until 6:30 on Fridays the night of the game. added. The Festival of Bands at Northmont High School It's time to order your tickets for the first event of the 2008 season! The Festival of Bands at Northmont High School is a local venue, and the only one that offers reserved seats. The Festival is on Saturday, August 30, at 7:00 p.m. Northmont has allocated 300 premium seats for the Centerville Band Boosters, and you can reserve yours now by submitting the attached form to the Sipniewskis. Flag Making For anyone interested in helping with flag making keep an eye on the Calendar of Events and the Wednesday Sheets. This is open to everyone, not just Guard moms.
