Mark your calendar:  the Centerville High School band has been invited to play in the plaza before the Dayton Dragons game on Wednesday, May 19^th.  We have an opportunity to sell tickets and earn money for the band program.  Tickets are $10 each and are for the lawn area – no folding chairs are allowed.  Ticket order forms are on the band website.  For this event, you can pay by check – payable to CBB or by credit card.  Ticket orders must be submitted to Mr. Barrometti by Friday, April 30.   Bring friends and family to see Mr. Barrometti throw out the ceremonial first pitch!

Get Your Birthday Memorialized

 Here's your chance to have your birthday included in the Centerville Jazz Band calendar. We're collecting names (and $5) from anyone that wants to have their name added to this year's calendar. Or maybe you want to let your son, daughter, friend, co-worker, etc know that you care enough to share their birthday with all Centerville/Washington Twp. Attached is information about how to complete the form. Forms are due to your area captain at the same time as your calendar ads - Feb. 26.

Centerville World Guard will be participating next weekend in the WGI Regional in Nashville, Tennessee. 

 

They will be leaving on Friday, February 12.  Their prelim performance time is 5:16 pm on Saturday, February 13.  Finals performance time to be determined after prelim scoring.  The WGI Regional is being held at Antioch High School, 1900 Hobson Pike, Antioch, Tennessee. 

 

The Guard will be returning to Centerville Sunday evening, February 14.

Hollywood Video scrip will no longer be available for order.  Any Hollywood Video cards you have are still good.

Hollywood Video Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection

On February 3, 2010, Movie Gallery Inc., the owner of Hollywood Video, voluntarily filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.  Due to the uncertainty surrounding the bankruptcy process, Great Lakes Scrip Center recommends that you use any Hollywood Video gift cards, as soon as possible.

Calendar Ad Sales are now underway and final turn in is February 26, 2010. 

Calendar ad sales are a major fundraiser for the Centerville Band Boosters and a great opportunity to reduce your band fees.  Each student with current ads are asked to contact the advertisers assigned to them and encourage them to continue to advertise in the band calendars.  Band members that do not have any ads are highly encouraged to drum up new business.  Please refer to the calendar ad packet for more information.

 

If your Band member hasn't picked up their packet yet, please contact your Area Captain or see Mr. Barrometti.  If you need assitance with identifying or contacting your Area Captain please contact Terrie Holcombe at terrie1052@hotmail.com

Marketing

I know there are people out there with marketing experience.  We need to do things such as to solicit ads for the trailer. Please contact Denise Dickson, dnsdcksn5@gmail.com, or 750-9663 if you are interested.  This is very important – we need to get other money to support the band program so we can keep our fees down. Remember, it takes money to keep the various bands going and doing the activities they do.   One thing we need is to solicit ads for the trailer.
