Annual Giving 2020: Recovery from COVID-19 Cancellations

This past month has presented new and unprecedented challenges for all.  While our hope is that our extended band family, friends, and fans are managing this situation the best they can, our hearts go out to the young performers whose seasons have ended too soon.  Our band students were in the midst of prepping for Jazzcakes, playing in the pit for the spring musical, and hitting their stride towards the peak of indoor drumline and color guard events.

The Centerville Band is proud to play host to several performance events throughout the year.  With the support of many volunteers and even more fans, events like Jazzcakes (March), MEPA (March), and Soaring Sounds (Summer) have been critical fundraisers for ALL Centerville Band Programs.

We are truly blessed to live in a region where the performing arts are valued as an integral part of our community.  We are equally blessed to have a strong foundation of volunteers to help along the way.

The loss of these events will mean that the Centerville Band will need to raise $40,000 to maintain our present budget and continued strength of its programs.  Our 2020 Annual Giving Campaign will be used to help recoup from losses due to the unforseen cancellation of events and fundraisers.

How can I help? 
There are several ways that people can help during this time:

  1. One Time Donation – If you are able to donate, please consider doing so by using the Paypal link at the top of this page or by going to Donations can also be mailed in to the address below.
  2. Monthly Donation – Using the same link, it’s possible for anyone to click a checkbox to make their donation monthly.
  3. Spread the Word! – Help us out by sharing our social media posts.  You can also copy and paste this information into an email to you extended network of friends and let them know why the Centerville Band Program is important to you!

We are also looking for video contributions of 15-30 seconds to share as a part of this campaign. If you are a former student, instructor, director, volunteer… or if you have any connection to our program, we welcome any kind words and memories you can share.  Please email to share your story and learn how to submit your video.
